Working with Labs
Your program may use Labs to group the Skill evaluations, Patient evaluations, and Sim Sessions for one classroom or simulation activity.
Open your Labs
Section titled “Open your Labs”- Go to Evaluations.
- Open Labs.
- Select a Lab to view it.
You only see Labs in which you are a participant. If your organization has not enabled Labs, the Labs screen displays an access message.
Review the Lab
Section titled “Review the Lab”The Lab screen contains:
- Overview, with the Lab date, description, and requirements.
- Your Progress, with your completion progress for each requirement.
- Peers to Evaluate, with peer-evaluation opportunities that are available to you or already claimed by you.
Lab evaluations that require your attention can also appear in your evaluation To Do list. Select a requirement in Your Progress to review its related evaluations.
Claim and complete a peer evaluation
Section titled “Claim and complete a peer evaluation”- Open the Lab’s Peers to Evaluate tab.
- Select an available student.
- Confirm Evaluate student name?.
- Complete the evaluation or save your progress.
Claiming makes you the evaluator and prevents the opportunity from appearing to other students. An unfinished evaluation remains marked In progress in the Lab and appears in your evaluation To Do list so you can resume it.
Lab-linked schedule events
Section titled “Lab-linked schedule events”A Lab may also have a schedule event. Open that event to view its date, location, attendance, and Lab details.
Students cannot self-sign-up for student slots on Lab-linked events. Faculty manage participation from the Lab roster. If your program allows event drop requests, you can request to leave the event using the normal drop-request workflow.
Some Labs are not connected to a schedule event. They still appear in Labs, and their evaluations still appear in Evaluations.
